The Comet browser is a free download worldwide for macOS, Windows, Android and iOS. Comet Assistant's actions run in Work mode on Perplexity Computer, which needs a paid Perplexity plan: Pro ($20 a month or $200 a year) includes some weekly Computer usage before credits apply; Max ($200 a month) includes 10,000 credits a month.

    In August 2025 Brave's researchers showed instructions hidden on a web page making Comet's assistant act across the user's Perplexity account and Gmail without further input. Brave makes a competing browser, and Perplexity's later fixes have not been independently re-tested here.
