    What the evidence says

    1. Company claim

ST says the STM32N6's Neural-ART accelerator, clocked at 1 GHz, provides up to 600 GOPS for real-time neural-network inference in computer-vision and audio applications, alongside a camera pipeline with image signal processing.

    2. Company claim

The Discovery kit pairs the STM32N657X0 microcontroller with a 5-inch capacitive touch LCD, a camera-module connector, a MEMS microphone, Ethernet, USB-C and an on-board debugger.

    3. Independently verified

Academic measurement with an ST co-author, not fully independent: researchers at Politecnico di Milano, working with one ST and one EssilorLuxottica co-author, ran four MLPerf Tiny models on this kit's NPU. Lowering the voltage cut energy per inference for the DS-CNN keyword model from 219.0 to 156.5 µJ and for MobileNet from 443.9 to 331.4 µJ, and optimizing the setup phase before each inference cut the energy-delay product by 25.5% on average.
