    What the evidence says

    1. Company claim

NVIDIA calls Holoscan "the AI sensor processing platform that combines hardware systems for low-latency sensor and network connectivity", for building streaming AI pipelines in medical devices, edge high-performance computing and industrial inspection, from embedded to edge to cloud.

    2. Documented by company source

Holoscan SDK 4.6.0 was released on September 1, 2026 under the Apache 2.0 licence, as a meta-package that installs CUDA-specific versions.

    3. Customer-confirmed

Moon Surgical announced on March 18, 2025 that its ScoPilot feature, which lets a laparoscope follow a chosen instrument tip, runs locally on its Maestro surgical robot using Holoscan, and called it "the first AI application to run intraoperatively on any commercially available surgical robotic platform with Holoscan." The surgeon stays in control: "The surgeon controls laparoscope positioning." The release includes an NVIDIA quote, and Moon Surgical said Maestro had treated over 1,100 patients in the US and Europe.

    4. Regulator-documented

The FDA cleared the Maestro System on March 14, 2025 (510(k) K242323). The 510(k) summary describes ScoPilot as "an on-demand, optional, ease-of-use feature of the Maestro System" that uses a machine-learning algorithm to identify the tool tip. It does not mention NVIDIA or Holoscan; that link comes from Moon Surgical's release.
