- Company claim

According to NVIDIA's case study, an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX module on each cart fuses the three basket-camera views with scale and location data to recognize items, while vision-language model encoders and ad and recommendation ranking run in the cloud. Instacart describes the system as edge computing on the carts combined with cloud AI. Neither source says which cart generation this describes.
