What the evidence says
- Company claim
Healthcare Brew reports that the lamp uses vision AI to map where furniture and people are, including whether someone is on the floor. When it detects a possible fall it asks the person whether they need help and contacts the care team if needed; images go to the cloud only after a fall and are deleted after 14 days.

Lancaster University's evaluation of the Lancashire and South Cumbria rollout covered April 2024 to March 2026. Falls per resident per month fell 32% (1.85 to 1.27), comparing each resident before and after the lamps went live rather than against a control group. Ambulance call-outs fell 23%; the drop in residential (as opposed to nursing) homes was not statistically significant. Staff response time to a fall improved from 11 minutes to about 3.
